Tangled Briar Lace ‘n’ Cable Knitting Pattern

This pattern has kept me awake for several nights and has emerged nothing like I originally imagined! But I am, nonetheless, pleased with the finished pattern 🙂

Tangled Briar Lace ‘n’ Cable Knitting Pattern

Abbreviations
k – knit
p – purl
st/sts – stitch/stitches
yo – yarn over
cn – cable needle
sl – slip
psso – pass slipped stitch over
k2tog – knit 2 sts together
C4B – slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold at back, knit 2 sts from left needle, knit the 2 sts on cable needle

Cast on multiples of 12 sts + 4 sts.

Row 1: Purl (wrong side).

Row 2: K2 *yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, C4B, yo k1* to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 3 (and all odd numbered rows): Purl.

Row 4: K2 *yo, k2tog, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k5, yo, k2tog* to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 6: K2 *yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, C4B, yo, k2tog* to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 8: K2 *C4B, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso* to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 10: K2 *k4, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1* to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 12: K2 *C4B, yo, k1, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso* to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 13: Purl.

Row 2 to Row 13 forms the pattern.
