Anonymoss Stitch Pattern

I thought I’d tweak the Moss Stitch pattern, throw in a few ktbl’s and ptbl’s…as one does when experimenting with knitting, here’s the end result.

Anonymoss Stitch Pattern

k – knit
p – purl
st/sts – stitch/stitches
ktbl – knit through back loop
ptbl – purl through back loop

Cast on an odd number of sts.

Row 1: K1, *p1, ktbl1* to last 2 sts, p1, k1.

Row 2: P1, *k1, ptbl1* to last 2 sts, k1, p1.

Row 3: P1, *ktbl1, p1* to end of row.

Row 4: *K1, ptbl1* to last st, k1.

These 4 rows form the pattern.

I remember liking moss stitch before, like in 1980-something…This is a really pretty variation.

        Just feels like it….

  2. I love the new version – it looks a bit like the Prince of Wales Feathers to me 🙂
