Assembly

Sew in all ends. Cut a circle from a piece of felt, about 5mm smaller than the finished size of the needlecase.

Placing the felt circle on the bottom, line the top up, and using short running stitches, sew through the top, felt and bottom to secure the felt in place and to act as a hinge when the needlecase is opened, about half an inch (12mm) will be sufficient (see photo below).

Directly opposite the “hinge”, loosely sew a small button to the bottom, one of the 2ch spaces on the top will act as the loop for the button.

A thimble can be stored in the crown, and another layer of felt can be added if desired.
